Photographic collections with a focus on environmental or humanitarian issues are displayed at the Open Shutter gallery. In addition to its displays of both black-and-white and color photography, the gallery offers workshops on improving photographic technique, from day classes on manipulating digital photographs to 10-day trips to scenic locations around the world. Within walking distance of Open Shutter are a number of other art galleries, including the Ellis West Gallery, the Rain Dance Gallery and the Sorrel Sky Gallery.
